Ballet Flats Pink Spring Warm Weather

Pin Stripes, Pink, and Spring!

It was seventy degrees today!!! Spring is coming!  Not like we’ve been having a brutally cold winter or anything, but it definitely felt like spring. A soft breeze was blowing through the trees, it got dark slightly later, and the daffodils are in full bloom.

Aaannnd there’s pollen too. Oh lovely. Think  watery eyes, constant sneezing, and sore throats. For my readers that are experiencing the joy of pollen manifested in any of the symptoms listed above, you have my very warmest sympathy. (No sarcasm intended…)

I’m soo excited for a change in season! Love my riding boots and leather jacket and all, but honestly, I can’t wait to wear cute summery dresses and neon pink sandals. It was pretty wonderful to wear a summery outfit to Mass tonight without freezing OR looking seasonally inappropriate!  🙂 🙂 🙂

My sweet younger-middle-sister and I were racing the sun to get these pictures before it got dark. *I hope they can provide you with some inspiration for dressing modestly in warm weather.* It’s possible, I promise! In fact, I am thinking of doing a series over summer focusing on dressing modestly during summer without compromising style.  Any thought on that??

Very basic outfit here. An off white blouse (with a little feminine detail around the top) paired with a simple A-line pin stripe skirt (both are very lightweight. Also, they were some of my very first purchases from Goodwill years ago!!!); white and silver jewelry to keep it looking fresh and summery; and slightly sparkly rose gold cap toed ballet flats that were in the same color family as my skirt to finish the ensemble. The gorgeous flowers in the background are on a tree that my brother and I used to play was our “house.” (it was smaller and way more leafy then. We thought we were almost as lucky as Swiss Family Robinson when it came to botanical habitats. Yesss, those were the tranquil days before we discovered midterms and blue book exams. There is a legit reason we don’t play Swiss Family Robinson anymore.)DSC_0045

Thank you, dear readers, for stopping by!!
